clc

christian life community
Christian Life Community (CLC) is for people who want to understand more deeply how God is at work in their everyday lives.

We meet regularly to pray and share, supporting one another through the ups and downs of ordinary life. In listening to one another we grow to understand ourselves, deepen our relationship with God and discover more clearly how each one of us is uniquely called to respond to God's love.

CLC might be for you if you:
- are searching for space in your life to deeply reflect and pray
- want to meet and share with others
- are trying to work out how God is calling you
- want to integrate your faith and life more closely
- are interested in Ignatian Spirituality
- are interested in joining CLC or are already a member

The student Christian Life Community (CLC) meeting is on Thursdays at the Chaplaincy at 7pm.

We choose one of the Sunday readings and pray with it in silence for 10 minutes. Each person then has a chance to share something from their prayer. When one person is sharing the others listen. Once everyone has had a chance to share there is a brief time to reflect on what we have heard and then an opportunity to share what stays with me, perhaps something that struck me in what some else said.
It is not a discussion, but someone else's sharing might prompt me to share something of my own experience. We are not trying to answer another's questions or solve their problems - we expect God to do that, whether at the time, or another time.

You can come when you are able, but it helps if you come regularly - we usually meet weekly during term-time.
